Fracturing compositions into multiple views has provided me a framework to explore the realm of concept and innovation; the domain of memory. The manifold facets of immediacy, recollection, and anticipation, as mirrored in our memories, instill depth and fluidity to our experiences. Volumes of information, shuffled to generate simplified correlations, become symbols and archetypes stored within our subconscious mind. These motifs anchor our comprehension of time and, in the hands of an artist, they are ideally suited to convey the conflict between the enduring and the evanescent: the permanent and the transient. Modality is the process I employ to describe these transitions: a method of merging images to create a collage of subtle passages and nuanced patterns. The pursuit of elemental form, more often than not, reveals how inherent elegance is twined with masterful design.
