Return to Student Days

I have been focusing on  rediscovering the art direction I pursued as a student more than fifty years ago.It's been both daunting and exciting.

Although there is less interest in North America for portraiture, we have some  artists historically who took the genre to an amazing level. Perhaps one of my favorites is Frederick Varley. Using him and other artists I admire as my "teachers" I have been trying to find my own voice. I feel I am just beginning.
